Closer to 4 is so much better, wait, maybe not!

I've been telling people how, now that the twins are closer to four, they are so much fun and much easier. They are potty trained, tell me when they are hungry and what they want to eat, pick out their clothes (well, Amelia, of course), and stay close to me out in public. I should never, ever say these things, because that day is usually filled with fighting, tantrums, or mocking (again, Amelia).

Evan and Amelia have taken to telling inside jokes at the dinner table and laughing hysterically when they should be eating. I don't care how many times I tell them to stop, they completely ignore me. No threat can stop the giggles. I remember being like that as a kid, so I can't get too mad. I wish I was in on the joke!

A funny story for you to picture from today: the kids played with their big playground balls in the driveway and I taught them not to go after the balls if they went into the street. So Evan's goes into the street and he yells for me. As I go into the street, Amelia runs as fast as she can to the edge of the street and whips her ball as hard as she can into the street. I am pregnant and running after these balls like an idiot and of course a car comes. I am two houses down now and Amelia starts to go into the street and I'm yelling at her to get back like a crazy redneck for our new neighbors to hear. I thought these times were over!! So now I have to block the driveway with the van, or get one of those driveway nets.

I guess it's not that bad. At least I'm not changing diapers. Until February.
