Settling In

Settling into the area and still homeless, I mean. We know where all the Starbucks are, as well as Best Buy, Old Navy, and Target. You know, the important stuff.  The most exciting thing we do is go to all of the parks (and there are a lot of them) and drive along the coast at sunset with while drinking our Starbucks. The beach is such fun. It can get very cold all of a sudden. Yesterday, we were playing in the sun for an hour when all of a sudden the fog rolled in at the speed of light, or lack of light. We were in a cloud and freezing, I don't know how the surfers made it out of the water.

We have all the referrals for Evan except physical therapy, so that is the only thing up in the air.  It's just a logistical thing. With Tricare it is always a logistical thing. The new OT also does a little PT, so I think we will be fine. It's insane how few pediatric PT's there are around here. I mean, there are so many kids, I don't get it. Anyway, the new OT has a room with wall to wall gymnastics mats and all kinds of swings, so Evan is pretty excited.

John starts school next week and the kids are on a wait list for pre-school. They are very excited for Halloween. Evan has four different things he wants to be (a ghost, an astronaut, spiderman, and Patrick from Spongebob). I think you know what the only thing Amelia wants to be for the past 9 months: Hello Kitty, but specifically ballerina princess Hello Kitty. I am dying to put up Halloween decorations at the new house, 2 more weeks!!

That's it, really. We are thinking about baby names for the new little one, who is moving around as I write. I just cannot believe it's only 21 weeks. What's it going to be like toward the end, yeesh.

Home in Monterey

We are home sweet home in Monterey now. Well, we don't have a home sweet home, but it is our "home" non-the-less. Our nice, new house will be ready the first week of October and our decent, temporary apartment will be available in a couple of days, so we are bumming around San Francisco right now. We got a membership to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, which we are very excited about. I was amazed, there is even a children's play area. Guess where I'll be in the cloudy, somewhat colder winter? Here are some pics we have so far...
