It's not like me to go this long without posting. We've been very busy. A week or so ago we met Maggie and her mom and brother again for a play date (Maggie has a right arm just like Evan's left). They enjoyed each other very much. I will post a video of them dancing at the pizza place on Bainbridge Island. It was sunny and 60. I wore sandals!!
Another big thing is that I walked into Evan's occupational therapy room (I leave him and run to the store now) and he was riding a scooter (razor scooter, but with 2 wheels in the front and still very skinny)! I had to fight back the tears. He has tried the scooter many times before and I didn't think he would be doing that until at least another year from now. His balance is just so good even with all of his issues. Even Amelia can't ride the scooter, but I think it's because she's so crazy; she goes super fast and doesn't concentrate.
But he does do headstands on the couch....Why should I be surprised about anything?
On Wednesday, I am taking Evan to Puyallup, to Good Samaratain Hospital. Apparently they have a state of the art splinting/casting/orthodics department for kids. That would have been nice to know, eh? I've haven't been too impressed with the splinting service from Seattle Children's, who do not use the latest techniques like I just discussed with the specialist at Good Sam's. So we'll see. Then we will be all set when we move.
Other than that, we are taking a family vacation to Southern California next week, so I'm sure I'll be posting pictures. We are are so excited to see the sun!!!
