I am a People of Walmart

Since I always admit to embarrassing moments in motherhood, I thought I would admit something pretty big. As of last Friday, I am officially a "People of Walmart".

It was very hot that day and I decided to check out the Bremerton waterfront, where there are many fountains that supposedly kids can play in.  I should mention here that there was a woman in her 50's in the fountain when we got there. She didn't even look like a Walmart person.  Anyway, I wanted to check it out first before actually changing them into suits. But of course I forgot towels and suits.  Since they had their swim shoes on, I did let them sit on the ledge of another fountain and stick their legs in. Of course I had to take their pants off when we got to the van.

(The cones in the background are exploding fountains you can play in)

Now the other important thing to do during my day was to stop and get milk.  I didn't want to drive all the way home to change them, get them back in the car, and go all the way back in the direction I came from to get milk.

A person with toddler twins or young children will understand this. I had a weak moment. I couldn't deal with going all the way home, so I said, "screw it." And through process of elimination, I decided that Walmart would be the best place to bring my kids in their diapers. People at Walmart already expect to see this.

Amelia was in a shirt and diaper in the back of the double stroller, so you can't really see her, right? (wink, wink.)

Evan had on a onesie and no shorts, which is a little weird to see barefoot long legs hanging out the front of the stroller. (Yes, didn't you know Carter's makes onesies up to size 6X?)

So I fast walked in the door, got the milk, and then decided, well heck I'm in here, might as well get the Tide.  It was at this point that I remembered the People of Walmart website and got really nervous.  Looking around, I did see a very, very large woman in overalls, so I prayed that she would end up on the site if anyone were to at that moment. I then booked it out of there and checked myself out through the self-check lane.

I just checked the website and luckily we weren't on there. Lesson learned!
