USS Pennsylvania (flanked by barges) with John aboard Today we said bye, bye to Daddy. He is our hero beneath the sea. We are not going to be sad, though our mom has been told that we might get a little emotional after awhile. When we do, Mommy is going to tell us stories about what Daddy is doing on the boat, like looking out at the stars through the periscope and eating mojo potatoes made with a mojo potato maker machine. Mommy is jealous of that. Instead of being sad, we are going to remember what a wonderful time we had before he left. It was warm out and the clouds parted for him to get some sun rays. He's going to be pretty white when he gets back. When he left the sun went away. Here are some pictures of us with Daddy so we can remember him in the sunshine. We are so happy when we are with you and we miss you so much already. Love you forever!
