Medical stuff with my Superman

This is Evan's new splint that is like 9 months old already. I wanted to show it off because the finger placement pad is awesome and maybe it could help another family out.  I have met quite a few moms now of babies and kids with a missing radius like Evan. Everyone seems to be finding their way out there and doing amazing work. Yes, work, because it is just that, trying to find the right docs, therapists, support, etc. Still, I should be trying harder just in case someone with a little one is searching for answers. I forget how old Evan actually is. Such a big boy, now.

Soon we will be heading up to Lucille Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford again. This time we are have an orthodic created to protect his shoulder bone. He fell off of a ladder at the playground and said his shoulder hurt, so I guess it's time to get something made to protect his pointy shoulder. I'm just waiting on the referral. If that doesn't work out, there is a Shriners in Sacramento, but goodness that is a far drive, possibly an overnighter. If I'm told that that is where we need to go, then you know I'll do it. So more on that later...

We went to the urologist today and his kidney ultrasound looks great. We are looking for his one kidney to grow a bit in the next 6 months, so we'll keep our fingers crossed.

Also, his PT is quitting and we hope to get a new one ASAP. This is the reason I can't wait to get to our next place. Any of the big sea tour locations should be able to handle the care Evan needs. Should. But we know by now that one place will have a wait for therapy (until I go all crazy on them), one place won't have a hand surgeon, and the other will be in WA state, lol.

Big Girl Stroller

She loves it! It's a cushy, comfy huge Graco stroller. I wanted a new age one that all the cool moms have, but they are so expensive, don't look comfy, and don't even have cup holders and trays. I can't deal with that! Momma needs her snacks! Oh, the baby will, too.
