Monterey Roadtrip

We went to check out our new hometown. I think it will grow on me (as long as we have a house). It's CA, but it's quite cool. It was cloudy and I didn't take many pictures, but here are a few:

Mt. Shasta (CA) 

Fisherman's Wharf, Montery 

 Kind of see some seal lions at the end of the pier

Panoroma in Pacific Grove (sea otters play in the kelp along the shoreline)

Lettuce fields. Did you know 80% of our lettuce comes from Salinas (next to Monterey)? 

Black Butte (near Mt. Shasta).

Wisconsin Frozen Custard

If you have not been to Wisconsin, you should before you die. I believe it's in the "1000 Places to See Before You Die" book. Creamy frozen custard you can't get anywhere else. Not mention deep-fried, beer battered everything. Melt in your mouth burgers. Donuts that can only be found in SE WI. Racine Kringle. Brats. Amazing beer. Sorry every other state, when it comes to food, WI takes the deep-fried cake!

Flying Home

It's been a long couple of weeks. We are back from WI and exhausted. Much more to share, but now we are off to find a house in Monterey, CA. I will post what I can over the next week!
